Margaret Howell Spring/Summer '20
Contemporary British designer Margaret Howell and her eponymous label continue to display minimal yet thoughtful English heritage–inspired design in the interchangeable men’s and women’s department with the latest Spring/Summer ‘20 collection.
Margaret Howell specifically shows an affinity for the military olive and mustard colorways, inspired by her fondness of nature. Men’s formal button up shirts are paired with a preppy vest that comes in a tonal variation, offering contrast between the two tops. The women’s side also showcases suiting for more formal environments with blazer jackets and tailored trousers, styled with tucked in shirts and loose ties. Utilitarian elements are commonly incorporated throughout long, hooded parkas and non-hooded coats, 4-pocket field jackets, crossbody slings, and slouching belts. Although patterns are scarce, Margaret Howell doesn’t shy away from plaid patterns, a nod to her British roots, and a loud brown block pattern printed on dresses, shirts, and skirts.
