UNDERCOVER Reupholsters Its Past Converse Chuck 70 With Camo Prints
After releasing a Japan exclusive Converse collaboration only about a month ago, Jun Takahashi and his UNDERCOVER imprint are making a trip back stateside and beyond, reinterpreting their prior Chuck 70 though now in camo prints.
Everything from its punk accents, subtle distressing, and thinly lined type are here once more along the striking high-top, though a much simpler low freshens up the capsule with almost every accent translated over except for the lace-in zipper. Formed in alignment with the label’s New Warriors themes, connecting hits of embroidery fashion the circular “NW” logo atop both offerings’ profiles while metallic rings hang down at the heel just adjacent. Sole units, instead of being left an untouched white, are given an intentional bit of wear, with its distressing leading up to a cap toe that sports “THE NEW WARRIORS” text much more bluntly. The militaristic patterns themselves have also seen better days with the many earth tones just slightly weathering away.
Grab a good look at the pack right here and expect them to hit retailers on November 14th.
