MIZUNO Debuts New Project Titled "EM SELECTION"
MIZUNO opened its first store over a century ago and has been challenging the boundaries of sports and fabric innovation ever since. The Autumn/Winter ‘20 season sees them launch a new project titled “EM SELECTION” - EM standing as an abbreviation of "Experience the Extreme and Experimental Mizuno".
The ethos that underpins the design process of this new venture is about meticulous craftsmanship and endless innovation. MIZUNO has extracted select products from their regular lineup and matched them with the demands of the modern wearer, one who needs their clothing to perform in challenging urban environments. The collection will comprise a comprehensive selection of outerwear and footwear.
A variety of down coats highlight the ensemble and showcases the brands commitment to high performance. Manufactured in the MIZUNO Ice Factory located in Tamba City, Hyogo Prefecture, the high-specification outerwear utilises an innovative material called Breath Thermostat which is a moisture-absorbing and heat retaining fabric that enhances the wearers warmth. Reflective detailing and waterproof zippers are two of many functional details that intertwine the outerwear. In addition to that, they have developed a footwear model called ‘Shadow 3D’ that combines methods of 3D printing with an iconic MIZUNO silhouette - an example of tradition meeting modern-day technology.
