ANDJOY Launches Their In-house Label TAPROOT
Hong-Kong-based retailer, ANDJOY, has harnessed a wealth of labels for their selection including Scandinavian brands and premium Japanese names, and 2020 seemed an apt time to launch their in-house line: TAPROOT.
The name of the newly-launched label, TAPROOT, refers to the large, central and dominant roots of certain plants, many of which have played a fundamental part in the design process of the garments. All the fabrics are naturally hand-dyed using traditional methods and incorporate the same plants that provide so much inspiration for the designers. Their current ensemble is formed of short and long sleeve shirts, reversible jackets and Ghurka-style trousers, all of which represent timeless and minimal designs within TAPROOT. The Hand-Dyed Reversible Jacket, for example, is crafted using a naturally-dyed cotton exterior and a terry fabric on the interior and features vintage-style buttons for the main closure and pockets on either side. Available in either khaki or indigo. Each garment is designed to last generations and become a part of your life as they age and mould to the wearer’s body, which is a true testament to the craftsmanship and build-quality of each item.
