Barbour Links with Kaptain Sunshine on the Modern Day Parka
Fresh off of multiple collaborations with big name Japanese labels, British-based Barbour teams up with burgeoning brand Kaptain Sunshine for a modern take on the hooded parka silhouette, a welcomed departure from Barbour’s classic collared jackets.
Two versions of the parka are introduced in black and khaki colorways: a cropped field jacket and a heavy duty mountain parka. The lightweight version features a mesh lining in the inner for breathability and gusseted flap pockets while the mountain parka iteration features a longer length and deep side pockets. Barbour’s sensibilities are still present in both pieces through the use of classic oiled cloth and corduroy parts, and gusseted flap pockets, while maintaining a distinct image. Drawstring hems provide adaptability in various weather conditions alongside a zipper and button front closure.
The collaboration items are available at Baycrew’s Stores and Journal Standard.
