alk phenix Spring/Summer '20

Designed for walking yet functional in conditions far more tumultuous, alk phenix’s assortment of technical garments is always quite the sight. And yet their Spring/Summer ‘20 collection, whose standouts amount to a notable many, is only further telling of how far they’ve yet to innovate.

Each their own purpose and signature feature, the garments strike a strong balance between wearability and utility, often employing the latter as much as possible. Parkas, noteworthy in their parallel zippers, bear taped seams and minute improvements to the standard shell -- DRY BARRIER fabrics, Aquarguard fasteners, and reflective accents just a few. Bomber jackets and complementing Container Shorts are somewhat more ordinary by comparison, but the latter’s various compartments make up for what it lacks with carrying space and the former sticks true to the core ethos by way of ventilated panels and even a secure headphone pocket. Convenience, then, interweaves itself throughout the rest of the outerwear category, with anoraks zipping down to a small waistpack size and shape, ponchos cut and adjusted to comfortably wear over a backpack, and vests made to protect by way of a unique “Crank” placket. Reflective shorts, zipped bondage trousers, a slew of accessories, and much more round off the range, all connected via a love of tangible purpose.
