BYBORRE Spring/Summer ‘21

BYBORRE Spring/Summer ‘21

Designing for the current global COVID situation, Amsterdam-based textile innovation studio BYBORRE questioned their approach to collection sizing and began to adapt “Conscious Creating”. Their latest Spring/Summer ‘21 collection, minimally entitled Edition8, is a compact collection that focuses on tonal color schemes, recyclability, and a tailored approach to iconic silhouettes.

For this Edition, the label flexed its mastery of knit fabrics as it created an in-house textile artwork utilizing low contrast yarns of similar tones to create textures and geometric graphics. BYBORRE captures fundamental everyday pieces including short sleeve tees and tapered cropped pants by incorporating draped silhouettes and contemporary fits through their weight-map patterning. Hooded sweaters opt for a looser fits and come in a new colorway - solar eclipse/dusty sun, featuring multiple brown tones filled with geometric patterning. To further showcase the potential of BYBORRE’s textiles, the office suit and pant set is re-imagined, resulting in comfortable yet slightly dressed up look. The label continues to partner with forward-thinking fabric companies such as The Woolmark Company, resulting in luxury iterations of their sweaters and shorts, as well as their latest collaboration with GORE-TEX. The GORE-TEX Field Jacket returns in a cream-tone with layered chest pockets and hybrid paneling alongside their paneled Weight-Mapped Cardi, a sophisticated, performance-infused take on the midlayer piece.

Stay tuned for the collection’s release at BYBORRE.
