A Closer Look at DESCENTE and atmos' Urban-Focused Outerwear Capsule
For Autumn/Winter ‘21, atmos and DESCENTE has designed a collaborative capsule that is specially geared towards the urban environment.
Traditionally seen on the slopes, DESCENTE’s foray into the urban sphere sees the label combine its technical know-how with fashion-forward silhouettes that are suited for a different environment. With atmos on board, the pair has played with the concept of the chaotic city of Tokyo in the design of the SIO Hard Shell jacket and Mizusawa Mountaineer Down Jacket. Pandering to DESCENTE’s roots, the SIO Hard Shell Jacket is printed with a mountainscape and features coordinates of the ‘Nozawa’ peak across the center placket. The garment itself is constructed using a 3L material with two large zippers on the front and adjustable cuffs. Combining both functionality and comfort, the Mizusawa Down Jacket is based on the design of DESCENTE’s high-spec Mountaineer silhouette, but it has been brought into line with the Tokyo-centric theme through a nightfall colourway. The outer of the jacket has been made using 100% polyester and it features down feather insulation. Technical details are littered throughout including two Aquaguard zippers on the front for secure storage of your belongings and an adjustable collar.
