sacai Women Autumn/Winter '21
Chitose Abe’s functional and forward thinking label sacai has presented its Women’s Autumn/Winter ‘21 collection, emphasized by an all-out runway featuring a landed helicopter that recreates Tokyo’s frenetic Shibuya Crossing.
Known for their hybrid garments, sacai doubles down on the next generation of these women’s designs. The latest collection pays special attention to outerwear and bottoms, highlighted by bright blues and reds to neutral military color palettes. Abe’s take on the fleece jacket features wool paneling from the collar, down the center zip, and across the waist while soft, pleated fabric lines the sleeves. In another look, a cropped contrast paneled bomber jacket is layered over a high-collared, full-length coat that flows with each step. Trousers derive their shape and functionality from military elements that contrast the elegantly draped skirt selection ranging from pleated materials to denim options.
