côte&ciel and DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN Eases Out its Autumn/Winter '22 Capsule
First teased back in January, côte&ciel and DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN have finally given us a full glimpse of its Autumn/Winter ‘22 capsule which consists of a re-engineered ‘Chronicle’ Mizusawa Down Jacket and ‘SORMONNE MÉTAMORPHE’ - a three-in-one luggage system involving a backpack, tote bag and flatpack.
Bringing together over forty years of combined expertise, the matchmaking between the two labels only seeks to expand on their prowess without limiting it. At the forefront of the collaboration are ideals of modular design which is apparent in the docking and interchangeability of the luggage styles that can be worn at the same time as the outerwear in a complete system or independently. When used in its flatpack form, the ‘SORMONNE MÉTAMORPHE’, a modular version of côte&ciel’s SORMONNE pack, can be worn underneath the Down Jacket to protect your valuables and maintain a tactical look at the front by exposing the harness. It is easily accessible by a side-zipper system and buckles on the inside of the jacket that keep the pack firmly secured in place. However, it also functions as a tote ba and backpack depending on the wearer’s demands. As the name suggests, the Chronicle jacket utilises Mizusawa down technology and HEAT NAVI, Descente’s thermal insulation that converts light to heat.
The pieces are currently available in Japan through côte&ciel and DESCENTE ALLTERRAIN managed stores but there will be a worldwide release on the 12th of October.
