Kosuke Tsumura and Lavenham Reunite for Autumn/Winter '22
Back for another outerwear-themed collaboration, Lavenham has tapped the functional and dystopian skillset of Kosuke Tsumura for an Autumn/Winter ‘22 capsule underpinned by mutual values of functionality, utilitarianism and concern for our environment.
For the collection, Tsumura continues to explore the familiar Survival Poncho design in the form of the Jacket and Gilet that act as portal shelters through the use of functional details such as zipper compartments, insulation stores and an abundance of pockets. Each piece has been expertly made in Suffolk to Lavenham’s exact specifications to ensure the highest level of quality whilst incorporating necessary functionality. Mirroring the dystopian aesthetic of Tsumura’s work with Lavenham, the editorial takes place on the beach in Dungeness, an area recognised for its bleak and apocalyptic feel with a true disparity between industrial and ecological environments.
