nonnative x UNDERCOVER ‘OZISM’ Capsule Collection

With a shared deep appreciation for Japanese culture, nonnative and UNDERCOVER have come together for a capsule collection that honours a Buddhist concept called ‘Samu’ which involves the daily labour chores carried out by monks around the temple.

Whilst undertaking these tasks, they typically adorn a type of uniform known as ‘Samue’ which has inspired the pieces designed by nonnative and UNDERCOVER. As a result, the pair have produced the Monk Jacket, Monk Long Coat, Monk Longsleeve Tee, Climber Easy Pants and the Guidi Back Zip Middle Boots which all seek to borrow elements from the concept mentioned before as well as seamlessly blend nonnative and UNDERCOVER’s unique guises. In order to combat the Autumn/Winter conditions, they have employed technologies such as POLARTEC Wind Pro and GORE-TEX INFINIUM to maximise the insulation and weather-proofing factors, as well as put a twist on traditional Japanese silhouettes.

The pieces will release on Saturday, the 10th of December from COVERCHORD, Vendor, UNDERCOVER online and select UNDERCOVER stores.
