BEAMS and Columbia PFG Dig Into the Archives for Their Third Collaboration
Sealing their third collaboration with one another, BEAMS has tapped into the archive of Columbia PFG - an abbreviation of Professional Fishing Gear - for some function-focused inspiration.
Known for their appreciation of all things outdoors clothing, BEAMS’ has sought out some 1990s Columbia PFG designs to reintroduce in a new-found context. The capsule itself consists of three items, the Logriver BMS Pants, Logriver BMS Short Sleeve Tee and Logriver BMS Jacket. The latter borrows cues from the ‘Mckenzie Parka’ and ‘Logriver Jacket’ that were both developed in the 90s as professional-grade fishing apparel. It comes decorated with multiple pockets on the exterior, as well as one game pocket on the back, for secure possession of your belongings, no matter what they may be. It has been made using a seasonally appropriate lightweight nylon and treated with a DWR finishing which aids in water repellency. Much like the Logriver BMS Jacket, the pants are made using the same material and also feature a DWR coating. It features plenty of pockets throughout in varying sizes, as well as a D-ring attachment for securing your keys, for example. Both the jacket and pants are available in a classic beige colour and a black watch pattern for a more urban finish. Finally, the last piece in the capsule is the S/S Tee which is characteristically loose-fitting and made using a moisture-absorbing material, decorated with graphics inspired by logos from the 1990s.
The pieces are due to release on Saturday, 26th of March from BEAMS’ online store and physical stores.
