nanamica Expands its Technical Offering Through Joint Partnership with Spiber for Autumn/Winter ‘23 and Beyond

As part of a wider move by the Goldwin company, a number of its controlled brands including nanamica, in addition to the likes of Woolrich and The North Face Purple Label, will be incorporating some of Spiber’s material technologies from Autumn/Winter ‘23.

Through this joint development that looks at pushing the boundaries of garment innovation, nanamica will be utilising Spiber’s proprietary Brewed Protein™ technology which over the course of time will reduce demand for petroleum and animal-derived ingredients in clothing materials. These protein polymers can effectively be engineered into whatever fabric is desired by spinning the fibers into filament yarns with a delicacy like silk, as well as spun yarns like cashmere and wool.

For its Autumn/Winter ‘23 collection, nanamica will be employing Brewed Protein™ on its signature ‘Balmacaan Coat’, a mainstay outerwear silhouette in the brand’s rotation. It will be available in either black or natural colour.
