Typically revered for its garment design, TAKAHIROMIYASHITAThe Soloist. has shifted its gaze ever so slightly in the direction of sound technology with its ‘Sounds’ speaker.
Approaching the project with the same tenacity as its apparel offering, the ‘Sounds’ is a high-performance sculptural speaker that marries both impeccable form and function. Taking the form of a 110cm polycarbonate resin tower, with some parts encased and others crumbling away, there are seven different-sized speakers located which offer an ultra-high 2000W output. The speaker is a cement grey colour.
