A First Look at the Debut MINOTATAUR INST. for ESTNATION Capsule

A First Look at the Debut MINOTATAUR INST. for ESTNATION Capsule

Presented as a fusion of the individual worlds of MINOTAUR INST and ESTNATION, the first instalment of this partnership is the sum of Japanese clothing and technical design.

MINOTAUR’s head designer, Eiichi Izumi, was invited by ESTNATION to launch a new project which has manifested in a multi-faceted collection comprising three garments that are not bound by the traditional frameworks of fashion. Instead, Izumi and his team look to Japanese silhouettes and add a functional twist.

The three designs in question - Zip-Up Shirt, Shorts and Crew Neck Knit - have been constructed using a stretch yarn material made from Mino Washi Paper which provides the fabric with a porous structure, allowing the body to breathe naturally and wick moisture while offering a soft touch. Built with Spring/Summer in mind, the Crew Neck Knit and Shirt feature carefully placed ventilation holes in areas of high perspiration to increase comfort on the go, a sentiment mirrored by the shorts’ relaxed cut.
