_J.L-A.L_ Unveils its Spring/Summer '23 Campaign Dubbed "Permanent Presence"
The eponymous label of Jean-Luc Ambridge Lavelle, _J.L-A.L_, has unveiled its Spring/Summer ‘23 campaign imagery which follows the wider release of the collection.
Titled ‘Permanent Presence’, the collection has been designed with the abstract notion of ‘Superposition’ in mind, the ability of a quantum system to be in multiple states at the same time until it is measured and the wave function collapses due to interaction with the external world, suggesting that non-physical entities such as guardian spirits may not be observable but are present nonetheless.
Given the technical and protective nature of _J.L-A.L_’s creations, especially where Spring/Summer ‘23 is concerned, the collection toys with the idea of a guardian spirit protecting the wearer from the natural elements they face throughout their journey. Three-layered technical fabrics sourced from Italy, internal seam taping and multi-point adjustment throughout the garments are a handful of the many intricate features that ensure maximum shelter. Some of our highlights include the Torrent Jacket with its asymmetric zipper design, the Delwa Vest that features floating pockets and the Dart Pant which incorporates an articulated knee pattern to increase mobility.
