A First Look at The Broken Arm x Salomon X-Alpages GTX Collaboration
After eager anticipation, The Broken Arm and Salomon reveal their latest collaborative effort on the X-Alpages GTX model, a silhouette that is forever rooted in the hiking universe.
While other collaborators of Salomon tend to lean towards lifestyle-oriented silhouettes like the XT-6 and XT-4, for example, The Broken Arm has a proven track record of maintaining a narrative, utilising models that aren’t typically as popular or have faded into the archive, like the XT-Quest 2 or X-Alpages GTX.
In this instance, a myriad of pink and red tones form the upper, a nod to the signage found on hiking trails, while the construction can be attributed to ripstop, smooth and hairy suede. The interior is lined with GORE-TEX for increased breathability and weather-proofing in wet conditions. For increased traction on uneven terrains, the Congtagrip rubber sole helps out while the 3D Edging Chassis provides stability. Finishing touches come in the form of The Broken Arm branding on the footbed, an embroidered walking stick emblem on the tongue and Salomon branding on the heel.
