UNDERCOVER Pays Homage to Twin Peaks in Autumn/Winter '24 Collection
Led by the brilliant mind of Jun Takahashi, UNDERCOVER has previewed its Autumn/Winter ‘24 collection.
Where UNDERCOVER has previously paid homage to institutions that were fundamental to Takahashi growing up from Pink Floyd to the works of Stanley Kubrick, Autumn/Winter ‘24 sees his UNDERCOVER label mould itself around ‘Twin Peaks’, the American TV series from the 1990s.
Throughout the range are various references to the show that appear on casual and formal silhouettes, from single-breasted suit jackets and dress shirts to MA-1 flight jackets and ski jackets. Parkas, trench coats, satin coach jackets and denim truckers comprise part of the outerwear section, while UNDERCOVER’s legwear offering is made up of numerous cuts and styles including relaxed sweatpants and slim suit trousers, as well as embroidered denim jeans and chino pants. In addition, tops and shirting provide a careful balance between smart and casual, featuring hooded sweatshirts and striped dress shirts decorated with patches on the pocket. In reference to Twin Peaks, garments are decorated with artwork of the lead FBI agent, Dale Cooper, ‘Twin Peaks’ printed on the reverse of select outerwear styles and scenic graphics of the towns’ surroundings.
