ASICS and nonnative Tackle the GEL-TERRAIN Silhouette
Always a collective force to be reckoned with, ASICS and nonnative partner up again, this time taking on the former’s famed GEL-TERRAIN silhouette.
In their previous meeting, the pair collaborated on the X GEL-YETITOKYO™, a military-inspired sneaker-boot hybrid that set the benchmark for future projects. Now, nonnative has left its tasteful mark on ASICS’ GEL-TERRAIN footwear style, a high-specification trail running shoe introduced into a lifestyle context with updated materials and a seasonal earthy colourway. The upper comprises a moisture-wicking GORE-TEX mesh alongside plush brown leather suede, contrasted by black and metallic grey overlays, sand-coloured laces and a complimentary heel cup. The midsole, which borrows tooling from ASICS’ GT-2000 8, is infused with FLYTEFOAM™ and GEL™ technology for a lightweight and responsive feel. Adhering to a seasonally appropriate brown colourway, this lifestyle variant is not typically seen on in-line models.
