YMC and END. Celebrate the Post-Punk Era and Archetypal British Clothing Silhouettes

Partnering with END. for the first time, YMC continues its collaborative reign into Autumn/Winter ‘24 on an eight-piece unisex capsule titled ‘Best of British’.

The capsule is heavily inspired by post-punk and its cultural significance in the UK, taking cues from the styling adopted by the movement’s figureheads in the 1970s and ‘80s. Varying from region to region, Northern post-punk was often sartorially informed, leaning on silhouettes associated with office wear, shirting and knitwear, whereas DIY was more prevalent in London. This period has become defining, and its clothing styles are ubiquitous symbols of British style. With this in mind, YMC and END. channel a ‘Best of British’ capsule with knits, tailored trousers, shirting and wool jackets, to name a few. Featured styles include the Basement Bomber and Stoosh Cargos, crafted from striped European grey wool, combining elements of utility and tailoring; a reinterpretation of YMC’s signature Brainticket jacket in all-black; the Suedehead crew neck jumper in a brushed lambswool; and, a wide-leg jean, which goes as the Replacement Jean.
