Feb 22 RANRA and Salomon Unveil their Latest Footwear Project Titled ‘SKOR’

Marking their third collaboration, RANRA and Salomon continue their ongoing investigation into ‘better design’ solutions through conscious manufacturing methods and innovative materials. For Spring/Summer ‘24, this has culminated in the ‘SKOR’ model, a transitional silhouette designed to tackle all conditions.

The ‘SKOR’ features a removable leather gaiter with a lightweight recyclable TPU bottom shoe. RANRA developed a unique “Quick-release” system to detach the two elements allowing for increased versatility across seasons as well as providing the opportunity to separate the different material compositions to allow for easy recycling when the product reaches its end-of-life. The campaign took inspiration from the shoe’s mixture of natural and manmade materials and its innovative approach to recyclable elements to think about the place of a garment within a wider context of the ecosystem.
