Nigel Cabourn Dives into Rocky Mountain Featherbed's Archive for A/W Collaboration

Nigel Cabourn and Rocky Mountain Featherbed have previewed their debut collection which is said to release in late September.

Enamoured by one another’s work, a collaboration of this scope was bound to happen sooner rather than later. After Nigel and Kinji Teramoto, the founder of 35SUMMERS, a company overseeing the likes of Rocky Mountain Featherbed and Mighty Mac, re-connected in Hong Kong over a shared love of vintage RMF garments, the idea for a partnership was born.

Out of Teramoto’s collection, estimated at 200-some RMF pieces, Cabourn selected a handful of styles that particularly interested him and wanted to take inspiration from whilst referencing his own collection, measured to be a 4000-piece strong archive. With this in mind, the collection sees Cabourn and Teramoto leave their mark on traditional American outdoor clothing, infused with period-specific details and patterns. The result is an eight-piece capsule consisting of down jackets, coats, vests and bottoms that will stand the test of time.
