Carhartt WIP Tackles Two of Converse CONS Most Iconic Silhouettes
Carhartt WIP picks up its longstanding partnership with Converse CONS to tackle the One Star Academy Pro and Chuck Taylor All-Star Pro styles, two cornerstones of the American company’s offering.
Rooted in skating culture in their own way, this collaboration sees the pair hone in on two performance skating designs that marry form and function. Comprising the One Star Academy Pro and Chuck Taylor All-Star Pro, the two iconic silhouettes use core Carhartt WIP colours and detailing, and feature tri-panel uppers in tonal hues constructed using suede.
Both silhouettes are equipped with skate-specific details like cushioned sock liners and CONS Traction Rubber outsoles to improve comfort and protection. To increase their durability during skating, they feature higher foxing between the midsole and upper and triple stitching throughout, also a nod to Carhartt WIP’s workwear-inspired jackets and pants. Finishing touches come in the form of co-branded logos on the tongue and CX foam sock liner.
