Kuchofuku Celebrates its 20th Anniversary by Partnering With BEAMS

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Kuchofuku Co. Ltd, also known as Air Conditioning Clothing Co., has enlisted the expertise of BEAMS DESIGN, the consultancy arm of BEAMS, to design a blouson using its infamous air-conditioned technology.

Initially developed for use in workwear garments, this technology has since been adopted by lifestyle brands that seek to integrate it into everyday clothing, not just protective ones.

Leveraging Kuchofuku’s proprietary integrated air-conditioned technology, under the concept of ‘Fan is Fun’, the blouson is an everyday take on the Mod Coat that features the components to keep the wearer cool and comfortable through Summer. Two fans are on the back of the jacket, which can be turned on to cool the body down. The sleeves can also be detached to transform the jacket into a vest. Buyers have the choice of Black or Beige.

There is no confirmed release date or information on where to buy this jacket, but stay tuned for updates.

In the meantime, take a closer look in the gallery below.
