Poliquant Reworks Clarks Originals' Desert Trek and Wallabee Boot
Poliquant marks its latest footwear collaboration with Clarks Originals, experimenting with the latter’s Desert Trek and Wallabee Boot silhouettes, two cornerstones of the British label’s offering.
Captured in an editorial titled ‘Sedimentation’, which draws parallels between the design of the shoes and the slow, deliberate process by which layers of earth compress and evolve, this collaboration between Poliquant and Clarks Originals represents the merging of heritage craftsmanship with forward-thinking innovation. The iconic structure of the Desert Trek and Wallabee Boot remains largely unscathed, besides a handful of Poliquant touches, including a QuickLace adjuster replacing their typical lacing system and a tactile, brushed paint effect across the upper. Collaborative branding denoting Poliquant’s involvement can be found on the sidewall of the Desert Trek, whereas the Wallabee Boot opts for its formulaic Clarks Originals branding. There is one colourway of the Desert Trek (Sand) and two of the Wallabee Boot (Sand and Black).
