adidas Originals and Edison Chen Celebrate China's Ethnic Heritage with CLOT Silk Collection
No strangers to collaborating with one another, adidas originals and Edison Chen unveil a new chapter in their catalogue, the CLOT Silk collection.
Together, the long-term partners have created a capsule comprising eight pieces of apparel and two variations of the CLOT Silk Gazelle. Marrying Chen’s signature approach with adidas originals, this collection merges classic American style with a sportswear feel while infusing a distinct Eastern aesthetic, paying homage to China’s ethnic heritage. Using bold colour combinations and luxurious fabrics, the collection embodies CLOT’s mission of bridging the East and the West using clothing and footwear as its communicative tool.
On the apparel front, CLOT Silk includes vests, short-sleeve t-shirts, shirts, sports jackets, shorts, bags, hats, seconded by the CLOT Silk Gazelle in two new colourways. Adding a flair to these classic silhouettes, the collection incorporates Tencel blended with linen fabric and crochet elements. Renowned for often restructuring iconic footwear silhouettes in line with Chen’s ethos, here the Gazelle features a three-dimensional jacquard satin upper as the core design, complemented by high-quality gold-plated aglets, a retro gum sole, and gold detailing. In this instance, the trainer arrives in two colourways: creamy white and deep blue.
