Me Issey Miyake store
Ginza, 2001
“This new brand created by the designer Issey Miyake only produces T-shirts made of elastic material, in a single size that can be worn by anyone. The brand’s concept of mass production is also applied to the design of the store, which takes the fullest possible advantage of the minimal space available. Once the customers have tried on a shape of t-shirt that suits their tastes, they can choose the colour and texture; the t-shirt is then delivered automatically, packaged in a transparent tube.”
