JieDa Spring/Summer '19
Hiroyuki Fujita of JieDa has spent the better part of the last decade honing the aesthetic of his brand while curating a strong set of resources. Imbuing the Japanese fashion culture that surrounds him into his designs, Fujita has curated a vast amount of collections that are of the highest standard.
In his recent SS19 entry, the designer presents his own interpretation of the recent sportswear craze, boldly infusing contemporary designs with performance-rooted accents. Some shirting features a water-resistant nylon fabrication with button fasteners placed on its back, creating an affectionate callback to retro track jackets. Other additions to the shirting bear an overall slouchy silhouette with a strong use of pattern clashing and a patchwork motif, adding strong visual flair to what would otherwise be basic tops. With its tonality comprised of blue, pink, and yellow shades, Fujita presents a curated range of styles that is wholly JieDa in identity.
