visvim recently showcased its latest dissertation entitled "Product Introspection: Textile SS18". The case study takes a closer look at the technicality of how 5 various textile patterns, their natural dye silk bandanna, natural dye chimayo, fishy, foliage, and spanner, were designed and utilized in their Spring/Summer 2018 collection pieces. The essay also discusses the significance of each hand-sketched pattern, such as the intertwinning vine motif representing the strong vitality of plants, and therefore representing prosperity and good fortune in Japan.

Textile: SILK BANDANA (NATURAL DYE)
Composition: SILK 100%
Color: BLACK, INDIGO, COCHINEAL

"An original bandana pattern was applied to the luxurious 100% silk fabric using a discharge printing method after dyeing with natural dyes.
