I Autumn/Winter '19
Simply named and near impossible to search for, I — born from the brain of Ryujiro Tamaki — has flown low since its inception back in 2016, but with the advent of a new season, the label is geared to reveal a technical prowess untethered by the ordinary.
AW19 is largely a piece-by-piece showcase of down fill, fleece, wool, and other warming outfits of choice: these, which take on a deep variety across each and every category, add in a reserved quality with small embellishments and modifications deviating them from the norm. Anoraks of the bulky construction prefer warmth over weather-proofing with slits at their side stretching the lines into a silhouette much more unique while also opening up to any of the textural underlayers. Either a standard crew in neppy textile, a quilted jumper of dark grey, or mock neck pullover of a sturdy twill, base layers are a strong addition to cropped vests, insulated parkas, or the assortment of blousons in double-breasted or classic alternatives.
