Moonstar Crafts for the Everyday with Their Brand New 810s Line-Up
Well-versed in the language of footwear design, Moonstar has become a sort of institution over in Japan and its expertise is not overlooked even worldwide. From Shoes Like Pottery to Doek and MHL, the label has done it all while somehow finding time to foster their own inline family of releases. Heading down a direction largely more accessible yet still of the same quality, they’re set to introduce their brand new 810s series.
A name reflective of its core design philosophy, “810s” is essentially a play on 8/10 -- meaning each of the four total styles are just right, “neither full nor hungry” as they poetically put it themselves. With each more so affixing to one specific niche, it’s a treat to see two take kitchen shoes in dramatically different directions. The first, dubbed the KITCHE, is a tennis-inspired piece of kit armed with non-slip bottoms and an artificial leather upper significant in its antibacterial and deodorizing qualities. In departure, the CAF is by and large more casual as it opts for a mule styling made with direct focus on wear and tear in the work environment. Athletics also make their own fitting display with paneling and sole units reminiscent of iconic silhouettes; reflective materials above and stability-focused enhancements below, the STUDEN is poised as a school ground sneaker. Catered to an entirely different audience, the HOSP is specifically for nurses as its inner cushioning supports for long hours and quick movements.
Grab a look at all of the silhouettes and a few of their colorways right here, and find all the info you need at Moonstar’s site. If you’re looking to pick up a pair for yourself, they’ll be releasing on December 6th.
