Hysteric Glamour Helps Close Out X-girl's 25th Anniversary Celebrations

Hysteric Glamour Helps Close Out X-girl's 25th Anniversary Celebrations

Rather seamless in their partnership, it’s uncommon to find any better a pairing as Hysteric Glamour and X-girl, two purveyors of punk fashion whose tenure leans closer and closer to middle age. What is effectively a joint anniversary celebration -- the latter seeing to 25 and the former its 35th -- the collection spans across deep breadth of garments inspired by their most cherished years.

Graphics steal the show undoubtedly. While the styles themselves leave little to be desired in their own right, it’s the playful motifs and graphic sprawls that add a characteristic touch to the entire capsule. Childish strawberry prints lie right atop the chests of three-quarter baseball tees, featuring overt branding of “X-girl” in a backdrop of either neutrals or pastels. Elsewhere, “HYSTERIC GLAMOUR” takes the helm as retro type extends across portrayals of the risque and the confident women whom they’ve made their muse, with some even featuring co-branded logo hits. Similarly sportswear-influenced offerings squeeze their way in by way of dark black varsity jackets, stitched with a massive amounts of patches in DIY fashion; juxtaposing this in subculture though not execution, the equally maximal trucker jacket and accompanying denim bottoms dial back these bits of flair by one dimension as they make up a chaotic all-over screenprint.

Military jackets, skirts, flares, and much more continue this pleasantly organized mess, with everything available to be checked out right below. If you’re interested in grabbing any of the pieces for yourself, they’ll be available at X-girl’s webshop on December 6th.
