ALMOSTBLACK Spring/Summer '20
Founded in 2015 by designers Masateru Kawase and Shuta Nakajima, Japanese brand ALMOSTBLACK, who has collaborated with master-piece, has revealed its upcoming Spring/Summer ‘20 collection entitled “PLAY FORM”.
By referencing the minimal aesthetics from Isamu Noguchi’s sculptures, ALMOSTBLACK takes inspiration from his design technique of drawing and carving stones into unique forms and combining them together. Similarly, ALMOSTBLACK designs its wide-ranging collection with a technical craft. Multi-buttoned olive coats feature multiple layers of collars, exhibiting a ruffled effect as it widens towards the hem. Punk elements are incorporated into relaxed fitting collarless jackets and daypacks as displayed by pendants and pearls carefully patterned with spherical and geometric shapes and loud paint-splatter patterns are utilized on button-up shirts and straight-fitting trousers. ALMOSTBLACK showcases its expertise in the accessory field in the form of necklaces, wristbands, and rings.
