TOGA PULLA Autumn/Winter '19
TOGA PULLA’s avant garde western stylings make their return for AW19, unifying another collection with an ethos that Yasuko Furata has so diligently cultivated.
Among the classic shirting typical of 1950s Americana is a diverse expression of silhouette, obscuring one’s body in its use of patchwork and overfilled down while enhancing it in a scarce yet revitalizing use of belted tops. Multi-patterned skirts blend swatches of loud, maximal prints while bright tones fill various garments for a characteristically aggressive nature. Embroidery akin to the era arrive along slim-fitting dresses while color blocked western shirts feature an oversized bolo tie. Ornate in many of its features while barren in others, the label has seamlessly included bleached denim tops, shining leather jackets, conductor suit sets, and even a more modern appropriation of a mountain parka.
