Approaching 15 years as an established Japanese staple in the crowded fashion industry, BEDWIN & THE HEARTBREAKERS, led by designer Masafumi Watanabe, continues to elevate classic American staples by fusing his own experience from traveling the world and the cultures he’s encountered.
The Spring/Summer 2019 collection is characterised by casual everyday pieces that can be combined for any situation. Heavyweight plaid flannels with baggy sleeves come in traditional workwear colorways, and their Oxford shirt epitomises BEDWIN’s ethos as it is crafted from a soft yet durable fabric built with unseen details such as high quality stitch work. Simple designs are pushed to new boundaries with the re-imagined coach jacket featuring a high-sheen foil finish reminiscent of the 90's. Meanwhile, military influences are evident in the olive overalls and the patchwork field jacket that includes a wearable sling system for convenient carrying.
