nonnative and Converse Return for Their Third Take on the Iconic Pro-Leather Hi
nonnative teams up with Converse for their third footwear collaboration on the iconic Pro-Leather Hi, Converse’s first full-grain leather basketball shoe popularized by NBA player Julius “Dr. J” Erving.
Originally designed to provide high ankle support and protection, the latest iteration features an upper constructed in nonnative’s signature long-grain hairy suede in both black and white colorways. The single-tone colorway follows down to the EVA midsole, rubber outsole, and trademark “Chevron & Star" logos. Even the military-inspired vertical zip fastening down the center of the tongue, which is a returning feature from previous models but coming in a VISLON® material for smoother fastening., retains the color palette. nonnative’s attention to detail and functionality is central to the design with an elastic strap applied to the forefoot allowing the shoes to be securely worn even without laces and the zipper open.
