NEPENTHES Expands Focus on Womenswear With New Osaka Flagship
Started with a keen focus on menswear -- and specializing in once unattainable American goods -- NEPENTHES has gradually transformed into an amalgamation of many different interests, with locations branching off from the Japan-based flagship to New York and more recently London. AiE, South2 West8, Engineered Garments, and the veritable Needles are all housed under the now iconic umbrella, but as a few have started rapidly expanding their women’s lines, there’s somehow been little room for a full display -- that is, however, until now.
Placed nearby the original Osaka location, the imprint is opening yet another set of doors: one bluntly named NEPENTHES WOMAN. With singular interest on each sub-label’s female offerings, the smaller size runs are effectively becoming more accessible, with stock hopefully increasing across the worldwide sites. Embellished by stained glass at its 3 meter entrance, the space leads into not only current season fare but also a series of exclusive Rebuild by Needles tie-dye tees.
