WISDOM Spring/Summer '20

WISDOM Spring/Summer '20

Their last season a return to form, Taiwanese label WISDOM let the past garments of Fall/Winter ‘19 reset the curve, pushing their many classic styles into new territory by way of brand new fabrications. Their latest, Spring/Summer ‘20, aims to play off that newly refined square one as it further invests in the functional futurism they’ve since become known for.

Fittingly dubbed X-02, the collection continues to borrow the expertise of local producers, their materials making it only easier to cross mobility, comfort, and agility off the checklist. From SHIN-COOL fabrics noteworthy in their lightweight, translucent constructions to a luxe, high quality satin, they all collectively take shape in an inspired militaristic aesthetic, one that -- instead of borrowing from the past -- further fleshes out what may be necessary years forward. Visually present, this idea is at its most potent throughout the vast outerwear category: parkas bearing an overload of carrying capacity, vests all the same with the addition of MOLLE webbing, and blousons a protective though flexible structure. Elsewhere, basics such as long-sleeve tees, short-sleeve shirts,, and a spectrum of uniform trousers created a foundation for many of the aforementioned to build off from.
