Japanese imprint Jieda and BEAUTY&YOUTH sub-label Monkey Time team up for a capsule of Summer-ready shirts. Both the forthcoming “DENIM ASYMMETRY SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT” and the “TRENCH SHORT SLEEVE SHIRT” will be available later this weekend.
Replete with bespoke energy, the garments strike a balance between both brand’s unique aesthetics as the duo finds harmony in their shared penchant for the oversized. The denim-constructed piece, whose inspirations lean closer to workwear, leads with two color variants of the same patchwork construction. Lighter panels -- be it a faded grey or brighter indigo -- arrive stitched onto the sides of the torso, expanding the body in between panels of darker fabric. The trench-inspired alternative then refits the template to closely mimic that of its muse, adding on set-in sleeves and a sturdy material.
