Helly Hansen Expands Its HH-118389225-203 Collection With Multi-Pocket Utility

Already well known for their technical expertise, outdoors institution Helly Hansen has kept busy with a selection of different ventures. Among collaborative efforts and their own unwavering mainline collection, the imprint has delved into their archives for the fashionable HH-118389225-203 capsule. Now, though revealed nearly a year early, the series is evolving even further under the themes of “Modular Ocean Survival.”

Appropriate of its namesake, the range explores a deep catalog of sailing apparel, with the “SAILSAFE INFLATABLE RACE” and “RIDER” life vests steering the helm. Their visual aesthetics, which run replete with a multitude of utilitarian fixtures, anchor the aesthetic of the pieces that follow. And while visually interesting in their own right, both flagships are constructed to a high industry standard, ensuring that they’re suitable to protect out at sea. This functional system, though at certain points intentionally subtle, makes use of 3-Layer Shell, Ultrasonic Taped Seams, 3M reflective detailing, concealed spray-hoods, attention whistles, and even interchangeable utility bags that affix to accompanying styles.

Complementing outerwear arrives somewhat simpler, preferring to make use of only a few of the aforementioned features. The “HH OCEAN COAT” takes the 3L fabrication and applies protective cowl collars, spray-hoods, and the detachable bag, making it close to as customizable as the assortment’s finest. In slight departure, the “HH SEAWAY JACKET” arrives with 2L instead -- Hi-Vis accents giving it the leg up in terms of visibility while drainable mesh pockets, whistles, and large scale map pockets expand carry capacity. Portability then comes into play with the last garment, the “HH OCEAN VEST,” which is entirely pocketable into its own compartment.

Grab a detailed look at the collection right here and expect to find it available at select top tier stockists come February 2021.
