'Re-System' by Veilance

'Re-System' by Veilance

Arc’teryx is renowned for their garment care and has long committed to repairing their shell jackets, base-layers and many of their other products if they are damaged through wear by consumers. Following suit of their parent, Veilance has just introduced their ‘Re-System’ buy-back initiative.

In a bid to provide garments with a longer lifeline, Veilance have set up a system whereby you can trade in your second-hand pieces providing they are still in a wearable condition. Once returned, they will be thoroughly inspected, cleaned and repaired - if needs be - and returnees will receive a credit note of up to 20% of the original price. Items such as Field Jackets, Merino Wool Sweaters and Windproof Blazers are a few of the many Veilance products available through the new ‘Re-System’ platform. The move marks Veilance’s efforts to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions by up to 65% come 2030 through reducing their dependence on the finite resources they use in production of their outerwear, pants and shirts. It’s an innovative way for both parties involved to close the cycle that is production of a piece of clothing.

Check out their ‘Used Gear’ site to purchase Veilance items up to 60% off their original price.
