Goodfight Autumn/Winter '21
Goodfight continues to translate cultural themes into everyday garments as the Autumn/Winter ‘21 collection entitled “THREE SHEETS & A CANVAS”, captured by photographer Ray Lin with lighting support from Nick Sutjongdro.
An ode to the art form of graffiti, which acts as both a sign of art and rebellious vandalism, the lookbook is highlighted by two custom fonts designed by the Goodfight team: a cryptic style of pichação based from Brazil and a version inspired by Goodfight designer Calvin Nguyen’s own youth graffiti. These bold graphics are patterned across scarves, the ideal accessory for the Winter weather, as well as a special collaborative oversize tote with Parisian artist Lady K. Reality and the imaginary are blurred through intricate designs applied on various button-downs such as the Painter Collarless Longsleeve and Leisure Shirt, which feature a psychedelic-like paint mix, and the C.O.R. Longsleeve or Street Gallery Shortsleeve that seems physically wrinkled, but upon closer look is purely visual. Meanwhile, functional elements play a major role throughout as apparent on the four-pocket Utility Jacket with contrasting sleeves and the Safety First Zip-Shell, sporting two additional zip pockets spanning the entire length. These are supplemented by their elevated staples ranging from knit sweaters, tapered trousers, four-drawstring hoodies, and their playful jewelry pieces crafted in collaboration with their good friends Good Art Hlywd.
