Graphpaper takes its inspiration from Noguchi's "AKARI" light sculptures with its new Spring/Summer 21 collection titled “Quiet Light”.
Referencing the light installation in the background, designer Takayuki Minami proposes an expansive range of minimal yet thoughtful unisex garments, centered around relaxed, draped fits. Dark grays dominate the color palette as featured on trench overcoats, military field shirt jackets, collarless shirts, and wide-legged trousers. In stark contrast, bright blue dresses, shorts, and oversized short sleeve button ups illuminate the collection as if mirroring the “AKARI” light sculptures while being the perfect transition into Spring. Another rare feature in the Graphpaper collection is a graphic collaboration tee with Poet Meets Dubwise, a project under the guidance of multi-hyphenate Michiharu Shimoda.
