BYBORRE's Edition9 Introduces New Innovative Textiles Including a Parley for the Oceans Installment

Dutch textile innovation studio BYBORRE, led by mastermind Borre Akkersdijk, continues to push the envelope on their proprietary engineered textiles as they focus on garments suited for the natural surroundings. The lookbook features their latest Edition9 collection with studio photography by Tomek Derry Aaron and nature and textile photography by Lotte van Raalte.

While BYBORRE’s partnership with GORE-TEX has been well-documented in past collections, their latest work with Parley for the Oceans is both innovative while environmentally conscious and sustainable. Parley for the Oceans is a global collaboration network utilizing its platform to end marine plastic pollution: Parley AIR — Avoid, Intercept, Redesign. The joint effort resulted in a unique fabric created from Parley’s innovative Ocean Plastic® yarns made from up-cycled marine debris while utilizing BYBORRE’s bespoke textile production. The result is muted ocean blue uniform featuring uniquely patterned vests, sweaters, and bucket hats. Signature styles return such as the Weightmap Sweater, the Over Shirt and the Tapered Cropped Pants coming in new textile iterations such as the Ottoman structure coined OTM™ and a heavier rendition of its signature AO2™ textile. GORE-TEX favorites such as the hooded field jacket are the perfect protective garments for the Winter conditions.

Check out the latest fabric details and garment silhouettes below, and stay tuned for its Autumn set release at BYBORRE.
