WTAPS Opens New Retail Location WTAPS® (W_Lab) in Tokyo.
Tetsu Nishiyama’s WTAPS namesake has recently opened a new retail location, titled ‘WTAPS® (W_Lab)’, in a discrete area of Tokyo.
Nestled on a fairly nondescript and quiet street off Aoyama-Dori, Tokyo, WTAPS® (W_Lab) is the brand’s latest foray into the retail landscape in the face of adversity. As the name hints at, it will be an experimental and conceptual space for WTAPS to play with the idea of how they present their garments. The interior is strikingly industrial and brutalist with cool gey tones adorning the walls and concrete floor, featuring a large rectangular glossy structure and stone display case. The new location is currently home to WTAPS’ current Autumn/Winter ‘21 offering and will house future exhibitions and innovations from the brand.
