KAPITAL Spring/Summer '22
With the release of its Spring/Summer ‘22 lookbook, KAPITAL stays rooted in its unparalleled lane, fusing practices of traditional Japanese craftsmanship with a free-spirited aesthetic synonymous with the 1980s.
Since its inception in 1985, Toshikiyo Hirata’s KAPITAL, continues to reinvent mid-century Americana garb with the help of traditional Japanese methods of design. For us, seasonal highlights come in the form of military-inspired Flight Jackets, bold Hawaiian shirts, anoraks with oversized hoods, printed longsleeve tees and knitwear. Leaning on the brand’s heritage and DNA, a KAPITAL collection wouldn’t be complete without a comprehensive array of denim goods from trucker-style jackets to bell-bottom pants, all adorned with geometric cut-outs and leather overlays. The collection channels hippy-esque overlays with thanks to tasseled detailing on footwear, prominent flower prints and cloth bag necklaces. Prints and graphics are delivered in a manner of ways from stripes to flowers, animal and aboriginal.
The collection is expected to be available from KAPITAL’s online store in the coming months, alongside designated worldwide retailers.
