WACKO MARIA Spring/Summer '21

WACKO MARIA, established by Atsuhiko Mori in 2005, draws inspiration from cultural icons in music, arts, and movies as the cornerstone for their graphic-heavy Spring/Summer ‘21 collection.

Among the plethora of their signature Hawaiian and camp-collared shirts, WACKO MARIA taps American comedy duo Cheech & Chong, specifically their “Nice Dreams” film poster imagery applied across the entire button-up as well as on tees. Likewise, black-and-white screenschots from American psychological film “The Silence of the Lambs” and photography book Tulsa by director Larry Clark are featured front-and-center on Summer-ready garments. Their wide range of East-Asian inspired imagery are complemented by more subtle, technical selections including quarter-button anoraks, hooded field jackets, and messenger bags. A WACKO MARIA collection is never complete without their formal, slim-fitting two-piece suit sets combined seamlessly with streetwear-ready, leopard patterned ties.

WACKO MARIA’s Spring/Summer ‘21 delivery is expected to hit their physical store on Saturday, February 13 and their online store on February 14.
