F/CE Women's Autumn/Winter '21
F/CE.® debuted their Women’s Autumn/Winter ‘21 collection amidst Rakuten Fashion Week a couple of weeks ago.
F/CE.® is underpinned by three areas - functionality, culture and exploration - which inform the thought process behind each garment. Often when planning the collection, Asami Yamane, the lead women’s designer, and her team will choose a particular country and examine the culture behind it. Through their extensive research into that nations lifestyle, culture, art and music, they are able to paint a picture of what they understand through clothing with the addition of functional details.
For their Autumn/Winter ‘21 collection, F/CE.® seeks to enrich the everyday lives of women through anatomically engineered garments. The main focus of this season is the U.K’s history of countryside hunting culture and the clothing sported by said participants. As a result, quilted exteriors, check patterns, traditional prints and knitwear are prevalent to honour the theme. Knitwear comes in a manner of shapes and sizes with some acting as layering options over outerwear garments, providing an additional dimension to the wearers outfit. Bottoms have been presented in a variety of styles and cuts from slim to wide and to pay homage to the countryside feature quilted patterns and check in places. Outerwear is often the basis of each F/CE.® collection and their women’s range tailors it specifically, particularly with Mac-style coats, insulated down coats and multi-pocket field jackets.
