eye_C’s latest SEASONAL HIGHLIGHT feature - a more in-depth look at seasonal pieces from select brands - showcases three footwear styles from Merrell 1TRL’s Spring/Summer ‘21 range including the Moab Speed GORE-TEX®, Catalyst Pro and the Jungle Slide Vent 1TRL.

Jungle Slide Vent 1TRL
The 1TRL Jungle Slide Vent takes the iconic Merrell ‘Jungle Moc’ and converts it into a breathable, lightweight slider - almost a footwear necessity during Spring/Summer. The upper is made a pigskin leather with a breathable mesh lining and double-stretch material at the foot opening for easy on-and-off use. It features a Merrell Air Cushioning unit in the heel which provides stability and shock absorption, as well as a sticky rubber outsole for better traction.
Catalyst Pro
One of the most classically styled products in 1TRL’s Spring/Summer ‘21 collection is the Catalyst Pro which has been updated with modern-facing design features. The upper of the shoe is crafted using a suede leather material, with coyote brown forming the main colour and accents of black and lilac spotted throughout. Forward-thinking design cues including laces, webbing and the lining made using recycled contents and a Vibram® EcoDura sole which has been put together by a minimum of 30% recycled materials. A lightweight EVA midsole provides stability and comfort whilst sat atop a Vibram® EcoDura sole which lends exceptional durability and a more sustainable end product.
Moab Speed GORE-TEX® 1TRL
Featuring bold branding throughout like on the sidewall, tongue and inner sole, the ‘Moab Speed’ GORE-TEX® utilises the pinnacle of footwear technology including GORE-TEX® waterproofing and a Vibram® EcoDura Sole, made from 30% recycled materials. As a result, the model balances waterproofing and breathability with a long-lasting, comfortable and durable ride. Engineered for support and protection, it features a padded collar, protective toe cap and a rock plate to ensure a smoother fit. The Moab Speed GORE-TEX® is available in either triple black or triple white.
